The Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly on Tuesday unanimously approved a resolution granting GB interim provincial status.

The proposal states that the GB should be given interim constitutional provincial status and representation in the National Assembly and other federal bodies.
Last year, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that he was granting temporary-regional status to Gilgit-Baltistan as he arrived in the region to attend his 73rd Independence Day celebrations.
