Ghizer valley remains at a temperature above -4 degrees centigrade for about 2–3 months every year which is enough to awaken everything out of its winter slumber. The main attraction, however, lies with orchards of Almond trees (not to be confused with almonds) which bloom even before any other tree does; giving rise to blooming festivities that continue for almost a month long.
